Carrie Lystad, EA

I founded Fortitude Tax & Accounting (formerly Carrie Lystad Accountant) in 2006.  I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Professional Accounting from Eastern Washington University in 2004.  I have been an Enrolled Agent since July 2007. I enjoy working will small business and seeing them flourish.

I am married, have two daughters, a new son in law and a Pomeranian named Jack.  I love spending time at the lake, taking family vacations, and watching football.

Kimberley Kiefer

Hello! I graduated from Humboldt State University with a Bachelor’s of Accounting in 2011 and have been immersed in the accounting world ever since. Initially I worked in public accounting, specializing in auditing, financial statement preparation, and personal/business taxes; in 2016, I moved to part-time work, with my primary focus being tax preparation and bookkeeping. I have been working at Fortitude Tax & Accounting since 2018, and I’m not exaggerating when I say I love my job!

When I’m not working, you will find me in my garden, out hiking with my husband, or chasing my three children. I am also an avid reader, crocheter, and jigsaw puzzler.

Christie Burton-Hart

After 20 years in Animal Medicine, and 3 years as a Repossession Agent (as well as Office and Business manager), I decided to make a change. I went back to school and gained an AA Degree in Bookkeeping so I could follow my real passion of “kids”. After graduating I began training with Spokane County Juvenile Court as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for children in the foster care system. (CASA). I have loved every moment of being the voice for the voiceless.

I have two hilarious adult children, and 1 beautiful grandbaby. I enjoy crafting and creating. Some of my favorite things are Olaf, Elvis, Baseball, and all things fast. Working for Carrie and Fortitude Tax & Accounting has been a gift I didn’t even know I wanted. I am proud and happy to be a member of the Fortitude Team.
